The Lodge provided a clean and functional room for my stay. The large main room and spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower were particularly enjoyable. I appreciated the country views from the windows and the fenced garden, which was perfect for my dog. The location was convenient, with a footpath right next to the lodge leading to Walberswick. The continental breakfast provided in the room was a nice touch, with a variety of options to choose from. my stay at The Lodge was pleasant.
Although I would have preferred a ground floor room, the upstairs room I stayed in was manageable for me and my small dogs, despite the steep stairs. Additionally, the lack of a sink in the room meant I had to go downstairs and outside to clean my dog's dishes, which was a bit inconvenient.

Large rooms with breakfast area, good for exploring by foot or car. Clean bathroom, although shower can be temperamental. Self-serve breakfast in room. Well-thought-out facilities, including kitchenette and own front door. Dog-friendly.

I recently stayed at a lovely retreat in a charming countryside location. The spacious apartment exceeded my expectations with its cleanliness, warmth, and homely atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised by the well-equipped kitchen, which made meal preparation a breeze. The bathroom was also spacious and provided a comfortable experience. The hosts went above and beyond by providing vegan breakfast options, which was greatly appreciated. The peaceful and quiet surroundings made for a truly relaxing stay. I highly recommend this retreat for a cozy and comfortable getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at The Lodge. The spacious and clean room felt more like an apartment, with a well-equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. The beds were warm and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The location was convenient for us as we had our own transport. The self-service breakfast provided was adequate with a good selection of items. We appreciated the availability of a laundry room on-site. it was great value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Although the database mentioned a couple of cons, such as the awkwardness of washing up without a sink and the lack of a light over the keypad at the front door, we did not experience these issues during our stay.

The continental breakfast was a great start to our day, with plenty of options to choose from. The location of the hotel was exceptional, offering fantastic walks and birdwatching opportunities right from the doorstep. We loved being able to explore the healthland, woodland, reed beds, and beach all in one walk. It was a nature lover's paradise! the beachcombing at Walberswick beach was a highlight, where we found interesting marine life like smallspotted catsharks and rays.
While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The shower in our room was a bit unpredictable, sometimes lacking hot water, and we had to run the tap in the sink to get more heat.
